How long after a marriage breakup should a person start dating?
I don't know the answer exactly. I've been seperated a little over a month %26amp; I know I am definately NOT ready. I'm still letting go of him %26amp; finding me. I'm not sure when %26amp; if I will be ready. Divorce/seperation is very painful. It causes you to spend to much time on internet questions %26amp; answers :)How long after a marriage breakup should a person start dating?

It's unfortunate that more people do not recognize the fact that if 'government' can deny any particular group 'equal rights' they can also deny other groups of their 'equal rights' under the law... I would encourage anyone who has such strong anti-gay sentiments to think long and hard before they start the 'process' of denying others their 'equal rights'...lest they lose some of their own... The state shouldn't be involved in heterosexual marriage either. But we're talking about social institutions here. There are different dynamics to hetero and homo relationships - one being that two males or two females can't create their own biological children together. The other being that there are still many systematic inequalities for women in our society, and marriage as it exists reflects that.
The state has no business creating any new social institution, call it gay marriage or whatever, it's new. Change comes from the ground up, not the top down. The LGBT 'gay marriage' fools are statists pure and simple. Creating 'gay' marriage is social engineering by the state.
That in a nutshell is why I oppose it.

Sexuality is not obtained until your a teenager in most people. So no one is born homosexual or heterosexual. Later in life, your sexuality begins to appear.

My honey had experience and I liked it that way. I had experience too and I liked it that way too -- that way I knew what I liked and what I wanted and was gooood.
I was with a guy with zero experience before I met my true love and it was AWK-warrrrd and he was reeeallllly bad but it wasn't his fault he was a 43 year old virgin :-p
So I was extra glad my honey had experience.
I would want them to be inexperienced when I first have sex with them (in a perfect world, I would want to lose my virginity to a fellow virgin), and by the time we get married, he'll be experienced! Haha. That's in a PERFECT world. ; )
I agree with Q %26amp; A. Sex is important to me, and it would really suck to wait, get married, and then find out he's no good in the sack or wasn't packin much.

How do you tell someone that you're not ready for marriage?
I'm nineteen and have been dating an older guy for over a year. He has proposed, but I want to wait until I'm out of college and have a steady job. He thinks that there's more to my reasoning and I'm just stringing him along until someone better or closer to my age group comes along. How do I let him know without a doubt that it's a matter of timing and not love or lack thereof?

so tell him what you just told us. if he thinks theirs more reasoning or just some plot. tell him your being honest .and you want to be older, out of school and ready for a commitment like that. if he doesnt respect it, then he's not the guy for you.

I'm currently not looking for a relationship and I'm very picky, so I think it will be a while before I settle down again. I have a friend I have sex with to satisfy the need...I also like to dine and travel with him, but I'm not planning to get married unless I meet someone I want to have children with. I take a committed relationship very seriously and it takes lots of time and energy to build up a good one...I frankly like to put the priority on my career and financial advancement for the moment...
Also, I don't care much about the piece of paper, as the title and ';mental obligations'; bring more bads than goods, other than the tax relief of course.
