Sorry if you marry someone usually that means you have to get in front of a judge and say ';I do.'; So if you are telling us that you two did that, then there is no fraudulant marriage. If someone made the certificate and it is not filed at the court house, then, yes, it is probably a fraudulant marriage. Sorry defrauding the government is a serious offence and should be punished. Good luck, SSG SchrammWhat happens if you marry someone in the military just to get their benefits and it is a fraudulant marriage?
Don't say that to anyone. Don't look at it that way. If you think you can put up with the person, travel the world. I mean really travel the world. I'm prior military and my husband is has 20 months left in the navy. We met in guam when we both were active duty and then I followed him from guam, to italy, then to japan, than to texas. We got divorced but I ended up remarrying him for the time being for the health benifits and so I have a little extra money to live on while I use my last year of the G.I. Bill. Stick with them, you may possibly end up falling in love. You never know. What happens if you marry someone in the military just to get their benefits and it is a fraudulant marriage?
Marriage is void since it is fraudulent and no benefits will be received.
This happens everyday in the military and in the civilian world. Not much you can do unless the military member admits something and that will never happen. It will always be your word against theirs.
If the benefit that is being looked for is to gain entry into the United States or American citizenship then it would be a legal violation of the law for both of you, in or out of the military, and would be a fraudulent marriage and could be annulled/revoked by a court. If you are both US citizens and the benefits are ';normal spousal benefits'; then it may be wrong and unethical but it is not a violation of law. People get married for many reasons in the military and civilian life-Get away from home/parents being very common in both for the younger people or get out of the barracks for military. During wartime some females, not sexist here just that this was done some in WW2 and Viet Nam and most people going over were male so it was primarily females doing this, have married service people going overseas into combat and then divorced them if they survive and come back before looking for another to marry.
If the military person is aware of the situation and is also using it to benefit from it (using the marriage to get a higher housing allowance or to qualify for seperation pay) they could be convicted of fraud, prosecuted by the military, recieve a dishorable discharge and serve time in a federal prison as well as having to pay back any funds recieved under the fradulant terms. The military coulde prosecute the civilian as an accessory to the fact if the person agreed to the marriage for the purpose of defrauding the military. These would be federal charges and the civilian would also face the possiblity of serving time in a federal jail, facing the long term consequneces of having a federal conviction on their record and could also be responsible for reimbursing the military for any monies received as a result of the fraud. Plus it is just plain unethical, immoral and a huge insult to the military members and families who live the life for all the right reasons. Is the guilt and the very real chance of federal prosecution worth it?
If the marriage is consumated it's legal, but the motive is unethical.
How is it fraud when you marry them?
YES, the Marriage is Fraudulent ...
I'm a Military Retiree, and have seen this happen with those I supervised who were duped into marrying some civilian (after deployments -- where one is especially vulnerable) ... and the only reason this person married the military servicemember is for the servicemember's benefits and salary (because they knew they were gone a lot -- so they were able to keep doing abominable things behind the back of the military servicemember -- including having affairs).
When caught -- unfortunately -- there are a lot of divorce court judges out there who have a complete lack of understanding and ...
I do get VERY UPSET, Angry and am definitely appalled by these predatory civilians who marry, divorce, marry higher up the rank structure, and then divorce again ... all in the name of gaining further portions of the servicemember's salary.
When this can be proven (like they have a track record of multiple marriages where their only concern was benefits and seizure of the servicemember's salary (a %)), then this PROOF can be brought into court -- and used as evidence.
I, personally, as a FEMALE Retired Servicemember, do PROTECT MY EARNED Military Benefits ... and that is why I LIVE ALONE and REFUSE to fall for any of these scams. I did have a short disaster of a marriage (to an abusive, violent sociopath -- from which two disabled children were born) ... and whose ex DID Try to get HIS claws into MY Earned Benefits (I divorced while on Active Duty) .. and ... luckily for me ... I walked into court and (despite the attorney's advice), made sure that the JUDGE (over more than a decade past the divorce of challenges that this ex did) knew that these were MY Benefits and NOT The ex's! As a result -- MY earned Military Retirement is MY OWN ... (and this is also an ex who never provided anything for the children -- who are now independently living adults).
I do stay in contact with my Senators/Representatives to keep this type of situation in mind, and to advocate for changes so that Military Members can be protected from this type of predation! Personally .. I advocate for not only changes in the law, but also to have instituted FEDERAL prison sentences for this type of FRAUD.
Are both individuals in the military? If so, then they can both be charged with larceny, failure to obey an order/regulation, falsifying official documents, and can be kicked out of the military.
If only one person is in the military, the service member can be charged under the UCMJ (federal offence) and the civilian charged under federal statutes.
That happened to a person I know, he was an E-6 then they busted him down to a e-5. and made him wear dungarees and be under house arrest for like 3 months. It probably hurt his chances to ever become a chief. I think his stupid wife told on him after they got into a big fight
From the UCMJ:
A)makes or uses any writing or other paper knowing it to contain false or fraudulent statements;
(B) makes any oath to any fact or to any writing or other paper knowing the oath to be false; or
(C) forges or counterfeits any signature upon any writing or other paper, or uses any such signature knowing it to be forged or counterfeited;
Fraud is fraud...period.
You get arrested, you pay the money back to the government, you get convicted, you get rightfully DD. After you get out of jail, you go work for McDonalds.
I hope the greedy little brat gets throw in prison with a roommate that looks like Jr. Samples from HEE HAW!
(USN, retired)
There is nothing the military can do if both people agree to get married and have a valid marriage certificate. If the military member finds out and annuls the marriage, the benefits stop and they move on with their lives.
If you can prove it, yes. Get an annulment.
Nothing if you stayed married to them and you dont tell anyone?Thats pretty fucke* up though to do that to not only someone but take advantage of the military's benefits like that!

Did the Elizabethans audience from Romeo and Juliet agree on arrange marriage?
I am reading the story by Shakespeare and Juliet's parents wants her to marry Paris which means this is a arrange marriage would the Elizabethans audience be shocked or would they agree on arranged marriage?Did the Elizabethans audience from Romeo and Juliet agree on arrange marriage?
In Elizabethan times, it was strange for a marriage not to be arranged. The main thing the audience would be shocked at is the way Juliet argues against her father - the Elizabethan Chain of Being determined that girls were the property of their fathers until they were married, at which time they'd become property of their husbands.Did the Elizabethans audience from Romeo and Juliet agree on arrange marriage?
Arranged marriage was the way of life. They would have found Romeo's and Juliet's disobedience more shocking and scandalous. Girls were chattel to be used to gain favor, bring in money (girls nearly always marry up), tie two families together, keep the land and fortunes within the same family circle, bring political gain or alliance. A man running off with someone's unwed daughter could easily end up on a gibbet for grand theft and damage to property.
Here is a good link on this subject:

that never even crossed my mind while reading romeo and juliet. but yeah, i'm pretty sure the audience wouldn't have been shocked at the arranged marriage between paris and juliet.
btw, i love your ';additional detail'; i laughed. :D
Arranged marriage among the upper class would have been typical. So, that would have been an acceptable plot point.
no aranged marriges were common during elizabethan times

How widespread is the marriage strike?
In case anyone didn't know, there's a growing movement of men refusing to marry to avoid the perils of no-fault divorce and being taken for all their worth undr legal systems that declare him guilty until proven innocent.
What I want to know is: does it extend beyond the English speak countries? Has there been any media attention on it?How widespread is the marriage strike?
I know from personal experience and research I've done into it for my college honors project that it does indeed seem to be spreading to all areas of the western world, not just English speaking areas, and with good reason. For the most part men get seriously screwed in 95% of divorces so you can understand why no man wants to marry these days, especially since there are no serious social implications to getting everything you used to have to be married to get outside of marriage these days. I personally am on the marriage strike myself after being screwed over myself in a divorce. I guess that makes me somewhat biased but the facts are the facts regardless. I'm sure this will dig up the flames, but any reasonable person knows the reality. How widespread is the marriage strike?
i dont know about the strike, but i am wondering what country you are from that has courts 'screwing' men who divorce. i am a divorced woman, and my husband came out financially better off than me, even though he left me for another woman. and- i know lots of other women who received no special consideration for being female. if anyone is striking, it is me,along with many other ladies who are happier single.
Those men better not tell the women they're dating about it or they cant probably forget about sex, lol.
there is a long standing ';strike'; or shirking of responsibility among certain racial groups in some countries.
I googled the marrige strike.

Found some interesting stuff on askmen.com
Every single one of us has made mistakes with women. We've been conned, duped and dazed by physical attraction. We've made fools of ourselves by kissing the feet of females who treated us like dirt. We've wasted countless hours and spent small fortunes chasing after women who lied to us and used us, and turned out to be rotten.
But do we learn from our experiences? No. Every time we think it's going to be different. We think if we just try harder, or do one little thing differently, the result will change.
Well, it's not going to change. If you keep pursuing the same kind of woman, you'll just get your heart broken over and over again.
Keep a watchful eye out for the following list of women, and you'll be one step closer to curing yourself of habitual *****-dating:
1- Miss Feminist
This woman postulates that all the ills of society are orchestrated by men and the best thing a man can do to improve himself is cut off his testicles and grow a pair of ovaries. She believes that women are angelic creatures who would make the world a utopia if only the male ';patriarchy'; would allow them to. Any woman who promotes these absurdities lives in a fantasy world and will have no problem at all treating a man in a way that she would never herself abide by. You can easily identify her by her incessant mantra, ';All men think with their penises.'; Avoid her at all costs.
2- Miss Take
She's out for your money -- pure and simple. Miss Take is the ultimate in high maintenance. She expects a man to finance her entire life just because she is biologically female. To her, a man should pay for drinks, dinners, trips, flowers, and jewelry, while she feels absolutely no guilt or compulsion to reciprocate. She is nothing but a whitewashed prostitute. Miss Take thinks her vagina is plated with gold and is worth a million dollars. She is greed personified. Since she has no concept of someone else's feelings, her only interest is in getting what she wants. And don't be fooled -- some apparently very ';nice'; girls are the greediest of them all.
3- Miss Romance
This type of woman lives in a fantasy world of Lifetime Channel movies and romance novels. Every night she goes home alone to spend hours flipping through her bride magazines, imagining that, at any moment, Prince Charming will ride up on his white horse, sweep her off her feet, and offer her a problem-free existence for the rest of her life. The Miss Romances of the world have been coddled by parents and family, told they are ';princesses,'; and have absolutely no idea that real life consists of paying bills and cleaning toilets. Miss Romance will expect to be taken care of, will be a dud in bed, and will, almost overnight, turn into a shrieking nag. Run.
4- Miss Elusive
This woman is closely allied to Miss Romance, but with a dark side. She is usually one of the ';walking wounded'; -- someone who has been hurt in past relationships and so subconsciously avoids or sabotages new relationships in the present. Your association with her will be one of utter frustration, as first she shows great interest in you, but very quickly runs away -- then repeats this cycle over and over again. Miss Elusive is the queen of mixed messages. She will flirt with you and date you, but you'll never get past ';friend'; status. What you will get is a million excuses for her unavailability, all calculated to deceive herself that she just doesn't have time for a relationship. Save yourself some heartache -- don't get involved with her.
5- Miss Angry
Like Miss Feminists, Miss Angrys really don't like men. They scorn the male gender and can rattle off all the wrongs and misdeeds of every man they've ever encountered. To Miss Angry, there's no such thing as a nice guy -- they're all ';jerks,'; ';creeps'; and ';pigs.'; Many of them have lots of simmering anger at men, which can explode at any moment like an erupting volcano. Unless you're into lots of drama and screaming, stay away.
6- Miss Insecure
This woman seems great at the start because she's very nice, accommodating and treats men well. But her inner insecurities don't take long to surface. Pretty soon she's calling you 10 times a day, asking to see ';where the relationship is going,'; or because she ';just wants to hear your voice.'; She needs constant reassurance that she's attractive, and worries incessantly about her makeup, hair and the alignment of her clothes. She's clingy, needy and compulsively agonizes that you're going to leave her at any moment for ';someone better.'; This kind of thing can get really creepy really fast.
7- Miss *****
Miss Bitches are the sulkers, pouters and ball-busters of the female world. They are very unpleasant people who treat their fellow humans poorly, care only about themselves, and aren't concerned at all if they hurt you or anybody else. Most Miss Bitches qualify as Miss Takes, too. Miss Bitches are usually good-looking and well dressed, and you can easily identify them by the scowls on their faces as they imperiously strut through the world.
8- Miss Me
A close relative of Miss *****, Miss Me is entirely focused on herself. Miss Me needs to be the constant center of attention no matter what she does or where she goes. She is a selfish, self-indulgent, self-serving narcissist who was raised as ';daddy's little girl,'; and expects the same from you. Unless you enjoy the company of spoiled brats, stay far, far away.
9- Miss Desperate
Whether it's her baby clock ticking or she's the last of her girlfriends to trap a man, Miss Desperate wants to get married -- now. She doesn't care who the guy is or what he does -- as long as he's got a penis she can drag him to the altar. Watch out for this one!
10- Miss Turncoat
She's a conniving little piece of work who's an expert at conning men. Miss Turncoat will tell you exactly what you want to hear until you're hooked deep into the relationship (or married) and then the truth comes out. Overnight, your sweet little girl turns into a demanding, greedy, mercenary harpy who will browbeat you into submission if she doesn't get her way.
11- Miss Tease
Usually, you can spot Miss Teases a mile away because she flirts with anything in pants and flaunt her sexuality at every opportunity. Sometimes she sponges off older men; sometimes she's a ball-buster who enjoys getting men sexually excited and then walking away; and sometimes she just basks in her sexual power by attracting men like bees to honey. No matter how she operates, you can't trust her because she craves male attention and if somebody better comes along, she'll dump you in a heartbeat.
12- Miss Controlling
She is a subtly nasty one who will wind up directing every phase of your life. She will tell you what to wear, where to go, who to talk to, what friends you can have, what you can eat -- everything. And if you try to stand up for yourself, she will cut off sex, cry, scream, pout, or use any other deceptive female tactic until you give in and succumb to her demands.

How is same sex marriage ';taught'; in schools?
As Maine has now become the fifth state to legalize same sex marriage (go Maine!), the religious and right wing zealots are complaining they object (for one reason) because they do not want same sex marriage ';taught'; in schools. Can someone explain what it means to ';teach'; marriage in school? I have attended school from kindergarten through college and was never ';taught'; heterosexual marriage. Just looking for clarification - thanks. How is same sex marriage ';taught'; in schools?
This is a ';scare'; tactic that has been used to frighten people into voting against same sex marriage. It was used to great effect in California's Prop H8 campaign. It's a favorite tactic of the christian right.
It's nothing more that a ';straw man'; tactic like the fascist totalitarian governments used in 1900's to set up false threats. It helps fascists gain or retain control and facilitates oppression of minorities. How is same sex marriage ';taught'; in schools?
Well, even if they were to teach gay marriage in schools it wouldn't be such a problem. Scientifically, kids are being raced in a same sex couple environment have no influence on what life partner they child will grow up to chose. It could be quite interesting to see that being taught in schools.
i am still in school and they have never taught us marriage either. i agree with people stating that the reason they complain is that they don't want their kids growing up thinking its ok to be gay. people who complain about same-sex marriage will use any excuse to try and block it.
Well for example the children could be read a book about two males in love at reading time. I know the fundies got in a real huff about that. Really though, I think what they're saying is they don't want their children attending a school that tells them it's okay to be gay.
I think it's their ';nice'; way of saying that they don't want their children growing up thinking that it's okay to be gay.
marriage straight or gay should not be taught in schools
The only way it was taught was bringing up court cases in justice systems that's about it. for me where I live
I don't think it is. Maybe the subject is touched on in Health class.
well, seeing as how you can't really have ';sex'; with two same-gender people without them getting an STD, i'm not sure how same-sex sex ed would work.mask movie

Can a photocopy for a birth certificate work in getting a marriage license?
my fiancee does not have an original birth certificate, however she has photocopies of it, we're planning on obtainning our marriage license soon and she can't get an original copy again because she is undocumented, can the photocopy of the original work as proof of age? by the way we're getting the license in new york state..Can a photocopy for a birth certificate work in getting a marriage license?
No. Your illegal alien fiance must produce a certified copy of her birth certificate. Can a photocopy for a birth certificate work in getting a marriage license?
A copy of a birth certificate will not work. The original is needed.
Look at NY states gov. web site. Your attention should be focused on the county you plan to wed in as the county is who issues and records the wedding records. The state only determines what the ID requirement is in order to apply for the license. Click on the link that deals at the state and county level .org marriage license requirements as each state is different. It will advise as to the requirements. In the current state of affairs with homeland security, my best guess is that if your fianci is undocumented, she can marry but most states do not accept photo copies of birth certificates. Cruise lines will not even accept birth certificate copies ( originals are required ). The paper itself does not prove her identity. That's the key, she must be able to ';validate'; her identity.
A birth certificate isn't usually needed a drivers license will be fine..
How do people make marriage last forever?
How did you make a marriage last 30,40, even 50 years? What was so different from those who are only married for 5 years? Please let me know how you can make a marriage last. How do people make marriage last forever?
For a marriage to last, both people have to respect one another. Respect is becoming an endangered species these days, sadly. Both have to make a real and honest commitment to their marriage, make it a priority in their life, put their spouse above all else. They have to not only keep their own autonomy, but allow the other person theirs as well. They have to support each other, grow as people and as a couple. There has to be love, and a passion for one another, not just sexually. You also have to have a realistic view on marriage. You can't play the divorce card every time you fight and expect the other person to keep believing that you're committed to your marriage. People will have disagreements because even though you are a couple, you are still individuals as well. The trick is in how you handle a disagreement. Calling the other person stupid or threatening to leave or getting abusive...those are things that will destroy a marriage by eroding the trust and love.
Often when a marriage lasts 5 years or less, it is because the couple either wasn't really ready for marriage to begin with, or they allowed themselves to grow apart by not making their marriage a priority in their life. Not to mention not respecting each other. I see plenty of couples these days that treat each other with disrespect...talking to the person they're supposed to love most in the world as if they were less than the gum on the bottom of their shoe. They let the day to day stresses of life become overwhelming and take it out on their spouse, when really they could make things so much easier by facing problems as a team. I also think that some people think nothing of getting a divorce, so they go into marriage thinking they have an easy out if they want it, and so they go into it not giving it a real and true commitment. There's often this ';just in case'; mentality, which only serves to undermine the commitment you're supposed to be making to each other when you take those vows. How do people make marriage last forever?
On about the fifth anniversary, take your spouse to a faraway trip. Get lost and leave him/ her there. By the golden year anniversary, you go back to retrieve him/her. The emotion of being together again will guarantee a lifetime reunion.

As the first friend said, you could not search this online ,you will have to make a phone call and find out the status. If you don't have time to do that , just login to www.yourmaninindia.com . I have got my certificate attestation thru them only. No fake work.... they are so professional and they completed my task within the said date.
Hope this will work.
