If you changed from AGAINST to PRO changing the definition of MARRIAGE, why?

Did someone in your family come out of the closet? Were you ostracized because of your opinion and beliefs? What happened? If you changed from AGAINST to PRO changing the definition of MARRIAGE, why?
I haven't changed. One man, one woman; marriage.

Two gay persons; legal commitment. If you changed from AGAINST to PRO changing the definition of MARRIAGE, why?
My niece ';came out'; a few years ago. He father disowned her. The rest of us still love her to pieces.

I was against gay ';marriage'; but for civil unions. I just want gay marriage to become legal so we can move on. I do find it a bit amusing that some gays, as my niece, don't feel gay ';marriage'; is necessary. She would be pleased with civil unions. In fact, the protests in California embarrassed her.
i did not ';change'; i have always felt that all people should have the same rights.... and be able to marry any adult they fall in love with.
I read this:

Dear Gay People:

Thanks for paying taxes for all those benefits you're denied. With a big shout out to suckers like Annie Leibovitz http://www.usnews.com/blogs/alpha-consum鈥?/a>

And another shout out to suckers who add their domestic partners to their insurance http://www.blueoregon.com/2005/05/the_ga鈥?/a>

PS: Drop dead.

PSS: Thanks for fixing up that old shack. Here's your increased tax bill to fund my kids schools. If we're lucky, you own the property jointly and have it willed to your partner. That way we can slap you with 50% tax rate when one of you dies. Or even better the will gets contested, the property sold and you have to pay the family members to buy your half back and we, of course, get the sales tax money! Win/Win!

PSSS: Our 55% plus divorce rate is your fault.
when that woman in Israel married a dolphin and the world didn't come to an end... I figured God was cool with that so why not let humans marry humans?

Haven't changed, still against.

Holy Cow, you should be a Republican if you hate the notion of paying taxes for benefits granted to others, it's one of our big beefs with Democrats.
I didn't I'm still against gay marriage and will always be
