What would the world be like if we allowed gay marriage?

I personally think it would stimulate the economy. All the jewelers and such.. What do you think the world or US would be like if we allowed gay marriage

The world would be exactly the same as it is today.

In fact, as of today, same sex couples can legally marry in Canada, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, South Africa, and several U.S. States.

So in a way, same sex marriage is already ';here';. I suspect that for those couples that want to get married and currently can't because the government in their location does not permit it, it would make them very happy.

The ring wing opposition to allowing same sex marriage would probably be angry about it, but probably would get over it fast because it really does not affect them in any way. People really should mind their own business and not worry about if other people want to get married, whom they want to marry, live with, date or stay single. That is a very personal and private decision. What would the world be like if we allowed gay marriage?
It would be exactly the same as it is now, except a proportion of gay people would have a piece of paper they didn't have before. Exciting huh?
They'd have to raise taxes on everyone because there can be tax benefits to filing jointly, and the government isn't going to just spend less.
The world would be exactly the same. Exactly the same. Except people would just strive to ban it again.
All the homosexuals would be happy.
Misdirected.
I dont think there would be anything different about it :) , the same couples would just now be married :D
republicans would cut their throats, which would be a good thing.

would have no impact on the world.
Probably no different than it is now..
Just. As in Liberty and Justice for all.
fair
a happier place
Society would deteriorate rapidly.
