Why is it not okay for Miss California to respectfully state her personal opinion of the def. of marriage?

But it's apparently just fine for Perez Hilton to call her a B**ch and a C**t and basically threaten violence against her? Isn't that pretty messed up? I mean, who really sounds like the intolerant one here? Why is it not okay for Miss California to respectfully state her personal opinion of the def. of marriage?
I totally agree with you. Even though i whole heartedly believe in gay marriage- i think it's horrific how this chick is being treated. It's as though she was asked a trick question or something. All she did was state her opinion- and she didn't say so in a hateful way. All the so called liberals are now acting like the bigots they hate so much.

Seriously, if anyone should have lost soley based on her asnwer, it should have been that ';such as'; chick would couldn't even make a complete sentence. Why is it not okay for Miss California to respectfully state her personal opinion of the def. of marriage?
I find it interesting that the current President and Secretary of State of the United States held the same opinion last year during their campaign for President. Why was it okay for them to state the same opinion then? Should they lose their crowns? How do they stand now?
First of all I certainly do not condone how Perez Hilton behaved. But IMHO I think she disappointed many people who admired %26amp; respected her being from California, she would some how represent every one in an intelligent manner. Political views not with standing should never have come into play. Even if she answered the question in a different manner she still would have lost. North Carolina already had more points. For an instant before she answered you could see her racking her brain for the politically correct way to give an answer to please everyone. That of course was impossible. You could tell she was having a difficult time because she stumbled %26amp; choked a bit while answering. No matter what her decision it was presented badly. What can we do? It's over. It's not all that bad coming second. When you take into consideration there were hundreds of girls in the US that participated in the various contest to get the finals. ciao..
Yes, she was asked a question and she answered it. He shouldn't have asked the question if he is so offended. I know I may get soe thumbs down but, I agree with her. I went to catholic school and now I go to a catholic college %26amp; thats how I feel. It has nothing to do with hating gay people I just believe a marriage should be between a man %26amp; a woman.
It's a beauty contest. Bigotry is not beautiful. Simple as that.

And Perez Hilton needs a kick to the head.

JMHO, of course.
Actually its not. It's only MSNBC and CNN that agree with Perez and so does Miley cyrus. However most people agree that she should be allowed to say her beliefs.
So much for freedom of speech huh?
