Is having sex before marriage is a sin?

I am 18 (in two months will be 19) years old male and have never had a sex in my life. All of my friends already had a sex, but I don't want to loose my virginity. I want wait until I will get married like 21 years old. Is it bad? What do you think? From you experience, etc.. Thank you.Is having sex before marriage is a sin?
Think about this....if you do not have sex before marriage, after being married for a couple of years, you ar your spouse will begin to wonder if you missed out. Or what sex with someone else feels like. It will begin to be on your mind each time you're with them. Eventually it will comsume your thoughts and one of you will cheat. So really, is it worse to have sex before marriage, or cheat on thour spouse?

To answer your first question, in my opinion, no, sex before marriage is not a sin, but I also claim no religion, so ';sin'; is determined by what doctrine you follow, ie religion.





The whole sex before marriage belief was to ensure that the woman was of value to the man, as many cultures women were considered chattle; property, and as with any property one does not like something that is already used. So it was vital for women to remain chaste.





Sex and sexuality is a very natural part of life and should never be thought of as something ';bad'; or to be ashamed about. If you don't feel the need to have sex or feel that you want to wait that is entirely your decision; and should be based on your own personal values and not on the thoughts and opinions of those around you.
I was 18 when i lost mine and that was a personal choice(had plenty of options before) but i chose to wait for someone i love and i dont regret it for a minute, however, having sex, according to the bible is for procreation only so in that interpretation even married people shouldnt have it unless they want to have kids..hmmm!?? God is about love and what better way to show that then giving your whole self to the most important person in your life.. whats so sinful about that
There is nothing wrong with being a virgin. Just because all your friends already have had sex, don't let that pressure you into wanting to have sex. When the right girl comes along, then just wait until you guys get married. There are some religions that believe having sex before marriage is a sin, so it all depends on your religion.

It is your personal preference, not a sin. Lot of people just never get married but have regulat sex with their significant others.
