Is marriage certificate very important for Passport?

I am married but i don't have marriage certificate,but my marriage is about to break %26amp; i have got the chance to fly abroad but because of no marriage certificate i can't apply for Passport,i have two kids and i want to work hard to give them best education and support.Is there any other options,please help me Is marriage certificate very important for Passport?
Go to the county you were married in and request a copy. You can usually do this on-line. Pay the fifteen buck and presto you've got your certificate. Easy as that. Make sure you hold onto it too. If you mean city hall, the marriage license you applied for still needs to be filed in the county the hall resides in. You don't need your husband to be there. You can do it yourself.

im not understanding your question I dont think: If they denied your request for a passport because you dont have a marriage certificate why not just order one real quick? after a divorce you may need to show both a marriage certificate and a divorce certificate
