Wow, sorry mate but... ';communists';? I've heard about scheming jews, freemasons, oil and weapon lobbies, but communists? I think the commies have bigger issues than to be promoting gay marriage, don't you? And besides how exactly do you achieve power by lobbying for gay rights? Make no mistake I am against homosexuality and all, but I think that these conspiracy theories about a bunch of communists that want to blow up the moon in order to promote gay rights, is the reason why no one takes us seriously. And to be honest in a secular state there is no reason not to allow gays to marry, adopt children and so forth. The only reason is religion, which is enough of a reason for me, not for everyone unfortunately.
I am actually for gay marriage even though I am straight and moderately conservative. The reason I am for it is because even if gay marriage is illegal it isn't going to stop people from being gay so any reason for making it illegal is pointless. Also, there is the matter of civil liberties. This was a country founded on personal freedoms and I believe that marriage is considered one of them.

I'm against it because it is a mockery of marriage. Marriage is the safe haven for children and the building block for society. Same sex marriage is just one more way to undermine the importance of the family to society.
