If you get married in the Church of England,is it a civil marriage or a religious marriage?

They issue you with a marriage certificate or a common licence after the banns have been read right. So does that mean its a civil marriage? If you get married in the Church of England,is it a civil marriage or a religious marriage?
It is both civil and religious. the religious ceremony is conducted first in the church then the civil register is sighed in a side room in front of all witnesses the licence issued is a licence to get married you are not married Until the ceremony is carried outIf you get married in the Church of England,is it a civil marriage or a religious marriage?
Its a religious ceremony in that you are getting married in the eyes of God, but its perfectly legal and you will be issued with a marriage certificate and you will have to sign in the register book for the Church.

A civil ceremony is one that is held in a non religious place like a Registry Office (UK) or a Courthouse (USA). Both are as legal and binding as each other but the only difference being that one is religious and one isn't.

You are legally married whichever one you chose.
If you are married in the church, then whatever else it is, it's a religious marriage.
You still have to get a marriage license prior to the ceremony. While the church will preform the ceremony you still have to get the license and anything else your area may require you to do prior to marriage. Getting married in the church is the religious aspect but it's still a legally binding provided you picked up all the documents and licenses you require to get married.

It is a bit of both. The Ceremony is religious but you still sign a document legally making your married just like those who do not choose to have a religious ceremony do.
It's both
Both .
Both - you have to sign the register like any other married couple. x
as far as i know church weddings includes civil too.
