I got asked this in my french speaking exam on fri lol, and I said ';There's no reason why it shouldn't be allowed... It is love, after all'; :D (in french of course)What is your opinion on same sex marriage?
When our ancestors were evolving into homo-erectus and walking on two feet, the mother was no longer able to have her children ride on her back and was forced to carry them in the front of her body. This prevented her from being able to gather food and protect herself, and since the father back then was basically was just a sperm donor and didn't have any connection with the mother and child there was no one to do this for her. Nature inevitably helped homo erectus out buy evolving a coupling membrane which made the species want to stay together in order to survive. Thousands and thousands of years later this ';coupling'; membrane is what causes people to ';fall in love'; and be together. The only reason this started was for mating purposes, and since members of the same sex can't reproduce there is no need for them to get married.
I guess if there are those who look at marriage as a great religious experience, they may have some problems, especially if you're catholic. Besides that, if being gay isn't illegal, then why should it be illegal to have a legal union with a gay partner? It protects the rights of the partners, especially when one of them is wronged.





I think as time will go by, this, too, will become a non-issue. Be who you are!!!
I'm against it because man and woman are supposed to be together. If they legalize something, it means 100% of the population will do it. So if they allow gays to marry, 100%, myself included, of all mankind will become homosexual, and we'll all die off within 100 years.





Furthermore, marriage is a religious bond from God. That's why atheists are really theists. How else could they get married, if not through my church?





And letting gays get married will devalue marriage. We already have more than a 50% divorce rate in America. We can't allow more people to get married and have divorces!





Besides, what 2 consenting adults do together is my business even though no one who chooses not to participate is forced to participate. But I mean, who would choose not to participate when 100% of the world will become gay??
I think everybody deserves a chance to be happy, and by legalising same sex marriages a lot more people will be happy. At the end of the day, it's not got anything to do with anybody who is already in a marriage, or anybody who is straight. Live and let live :)
Sure - if two people love each other and want to share their lives together (monogamously) who are we to say they can't simply because of gender?

I'm completely against it! And ';homophobic'; is just a word made up to use hate against those who are against it. This is America, we have the right to believe what we want to, as long as, we are not expressing it through violence.

I think it is perfectly fine. You can't help who you fall in love with.
I don't agree with it. It is made to be a man and a women. If everyone was gay, there would be nobody here. You need a man and a woman to create a person.
I think EVERYONE should have the opportunity to experience the misery of marriage and the pain of divorce.
