Why should we move the legal age of marriage from 18 to 21?

is it really necessary or just another bunch of crap to think about or is it really important? help pls.Why should we move the legal age of marriage from 18 to 21?
Because divorce is filed over a fight. How about live life for bit, grow the hell up, and have more than one relationship to know what you want and what you don't. Get some life experience and wisdom under your belt. And, be old enough to know that marriage is hard work and you have to be mature enough to handle it.Why should we move the legal age of marriage from 18 to 21?
I don't think the idea is even being entertained.
Besides the fact that at eight teen life is still being learned and I am not sure the brain is completed the last stage of development but ya. That could be one.





I personally say if you make it to 18 then do what ya gotta do. It is your life. You live with the mistake of getting married when you know nothing. Shoot, people who are in their thirties know more than an 18yr old but still don't have a successful marriage. So, it is each ones call. If I could start over again, I would wait to try living with someone who I would call my husband at age thirty five.
I don't really feel its necessary.





Very few people between the ages 18 and 21 want to get married, or even approve of marriage.


Of the few who do approve, there are two types, I think. The ones who think that any future problems won't matter because they are 'so in love'. and the ones who sit down and discuss how they will deal with any potential problems they can think of, before even getting engaged.





The first type, it would be nice to stop them from marrying and then later having to go through the divorce process when things get rough, but whose to say a 21 year old couldn't make that same mistake? Or a 31 year old? or a 70 year old? People of all ages live in fantasies, and a 3 year gap wont necessarily change that. (These types of people are sometimes also quite easily persuaded not to marry)





The second type, I belong to, and so don't feel justified making a response. It would be too clouded by my desire to defend myself, instead of real facts.
Personally, I think it should be moved to 25 for women and 30 for men
