How will Arnold handle the Gay marriage issue in California? Will he go along or try to stop it?

Schwarzenegger reiterated his opposition Thursday to a constitutional amendment that would overrule the court's decision. How will Arnold handle the Gay marriage issue in California? Will he go along or try to stop it?
What do you call it when 4 people over turn the will of the people with out and checks or balance?

This issue is going to be a dark times for the gay community if this is forced in by the courts.

Just like abortion and we still dealing with that nightmare of Roe v Wade.

Those who are forcing this issue have thought it through and wondering why they can't sell this to the public.

WI has civil unions and they are fine with that.

Maybe the better way to handle this is have homosexuals make a clam apporach about the issue.

Please remember the 04 election where this was on the ballot and lost time after time.

Do you really want more of those people to come out of the woodwork to vote against it.

It will cost Obama the election if this keeps being pushed on the American public.

So you have to ask yourself is it worth it?

Or maybe better to work toward civil unions and leave marriage a private matter and get the state out slowly? How will Arnold handle the Gay marriage issue in California? Will he go along or try to stop it?
Arnold is a conservative, old style, hes said he won't challenge it, and that should come as no surprise since conservative believe in smaller government, not more of it.

And by intruding into private lives it will intrude.

Not all laws are right under existing laws. That's why the judges ruled the way they did.

Its a matter of human rights.

Despite much bitterness, gays are human and deserve their share of rights too, like that of inheritance, and being next of kin in an emergency situation, and not being at the mercy of parents who may have dislike their child's sexual orientation.

The only people who should really be against this is gay couples where one of them wants to marry and the other doesn't.

See how much like straights they really are?

For the rest of us, it won't make a pins worth of difference.
i really, REALLY hope this isnt your and other people's main worry. wouldnt you say theres much more to worry about, instead of worrying about whos marrying who and sticking your nose in other people's business?

who cares if Arnold does nothing about it! i certailny dont, and im straight. i worry about something that is actually going to affect me that IS my business.

sorry for sounding rude. anyway, i am in California, and that is my honest opinion.
If we are going to let a few people make the rules, then lets stop calling ourselves a damn democracy.
Hopefully he will be the leader in trying to stop it.
He has publically stated that he will not challenge it
