~ThanksHow many states have legalized gay marriage?
Five states (Massachusetts, California, Connecticut, Iowa, %26amp; Vermont) have legalized same-sex marriage, but one of those five (California) has unlegalized the recognition of same-sex marriage that it once recognized. How many states have legalized gay marriage?
Right now only 4 have legalized it; Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, and Iowa.

A bill has passed through the House and Senate in New Hampshire but still has to be signed into law by the governor. A bill has passed through the Senate in Maine, but still has to get through the House and governor.

Same sex marriage was legalized by a Supreme Court ruling in CA, but that ruling was overturned by Proposition 8. It is again awaiting another Supreme Court ruling. Anytime now.
I only know of Massachusetts having legal gay marriage, But here in Washinton, a bill was passed called the ''Everything but Marriage'' and it allows same sex domestic partners the same rights and stuff as married couples.
Vermont, Connecticut, Iowa, and Massachusetts

California did, but it was re-banned

New Hampshire and Maine might legalize it
