I actualy know a couple who got married but they were different races %26amp; she was afraid to tell her parents. She finally told them %26amp; they didn't want anything to do with her. Sad, isn't it? You shouldn't be ashamed but sometimes I guess, people make you feel like thatAre there any valid reasons for keeping a marriage secret?

I think that if you love someone enough to want to spend the rest of your life with that person and enter into marriage with that person, you should have no reason to hide your marriage. I cannot come up with any circumstances where keeping a marriage hidden from others would be necessary or acceptable.

I can't see any reason to keep marriage secret. Please provide us more details like how many years of marriage,how are they,and so on ,so we will be able to provide you with more specific answers. In general, I can't find even not 1 reason to keep marriage in secret ,at least not a good reason.
maybe deceiptive practices..fear..manipulative behaviors..religious reasons..
Your right if your ashamed of someone then you shouldnt get married in the first place.
