Oh maybe 4% or so.. meaning they might outcome in a marriage. However the number of those marriages that stays together is very very small. The most comprehensive study on marriage and age that sociologists cite was published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2001, from 1995 data, and it found that 48 percent of those who marry before 18 are likely to divorce within 10 years, compared with 24 percent of those who marry after age 25.
What percent of high school relationships last into marriage?
my husband and i started dating in high school...now its 9 years later and weve been married for 2. so maybe the percentage is low but thats not to say that it never works out. sometimes age means nothing. i know quite a few couples that got together age 16-17 and theyve been married 50 years or more...so it depends on the invividual couple. if you know what youre doing and youre meant to be togehter
your marriage will last
You'd have to get some real data... like the number of high school relationships the average student has over 4 years, multiplied by the population, divided into the number of married couples who met in high school.
There are a LOT of breakups in high school.
Depends on the person. My best friend's parents were steady since 15 and they are still together. Other ppl change over the course of their teenage years into adults and find themselves to be complete different ppl by the time they hit their mid - twenties...and then they divorce (realizing they evolved into different ppl), it's a 50/50 chance ... depends on the couple.
my brother's did (they were 17 and 18, got married at 23 and 24, no pregnancy involved but now have 3 beautiful kids) and a friend's did (originally because she got pregnant but she's been happily married for 8 years now to the same guy and has 2 kids) Maybe like 10% 1% is too small.
Well when the jock puts his penis into the whole cheer-leading squad, except the water girl because she has acne and likes hoe-hoe's.....you know where im going....anyway, He marries his girlfriend...only then does she find out he has the clap, warts and the herps....so you do the math.
100 percent...she has to stay With him, otherwise everyone will find out she mas massive wart issues....and no ONE will come within 5 feet of her.
Considering that less than 10% of marriages to high school sweethearts are still together after 10 years, I'd have to say most high school relationships don't make it to the marriage state unless they marry right out of high school.
I know 2 couples that are in their 50's now and they were high school sweethearts. But other than that none. I would say that the percentage is less than 5% and even then they probably broke up for a few years and then ran into each other etc...
Jordan not trying to sound like too big of a downer but I'd be very surprised if even 1% of such relationships made it into a marriage.
I don't know the actual percentage, but I'm gonna go ahead and assume probably around 40%... Most I've heard about are because the girl got pregnant so they just got married. Not a smart move.. Marriage takes work!
1%. My parents were high school sweethearts and they divorced after 10 years. People change so much from 15 to 25. What's important to you at 15 may not be later on.
A tiny percent and most of them probably get divorced
Harriet
it depends on the people really. I would say no more than 10-15% or so.
I married my husband and we were together since i was 16 and he was 17.
I'm married to my high school sweetheart, and I wouldn't trade him for anyone else. So it is possible but not so common.
probably a lot of them last into marriage..but the marrige won't last very long.
well i don't know but my mom meet my dad in highschool and now they have a good marrige and 3 wonderful kiddies
1%
Not very many... I'd imagine
Very few. Especially in this age and time.
Im going to guess 1%
Im gonna say 14%
not very many i think its like 3%
like 5%
5.09928 % How should we know?
I met my husband in Junior High. It was a whirlwind romance. By eigth grade I was giving it up every night and taking it up the but too. but he was my love and he was so good to me. We married as soon as we were out of High School. He was my soulmate.....
And then he left me at 28 to pursue his lifelong hidden dream of doing gay porn. I guess I should of known when he showed up with strapon for me to use on him right before we left for the Prom.
