I'm Singaporean and my husband is British; we married in Singapore, with a civil union and we now live in the US. I want to know if I will be allowed to live and work in the UK; should we ever end up going there.
Would we need to re-marry on British soil for the UK to recognise my husband as married? Also I would like to know if I will need a visa to work in the UK.
Does anyone know if my husband will need an employment pass if we return to Singapore?Does the UK recognise a Singaporean civil marriage license?
You don't need to remarry but it is easier to get UK citizenship if you can prove you have lived together for more than 4 years. They will recognise the cival union as long as it is a legal marriage in that country.
You need to get doccumentational proof.
